Who can apply

Roscara’s properties are available to any person with a support need wishing to live in one of our properties in County Roscommon. Applications may be made through support services such as the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland in Roscommon or independent living organisations, such as StepIn independent Living CLG.

Roscara offers assistance to tenants transferring to properties but does not provide care services.

Being a Roscara tenant

Tenants are responsible for the payment of rent to Roscara. This is part of the agreement made when entering into a tenancy. Most tenants qualify for rent subsidy from the Department of Social Welfare.

Every tenant is given a Tenant’s Handbook along with the tenancy agreement. This explains all the basics and responsibilities such as what services are provided; how repairs are handled; and what the tenant must do to keep their new home in good order.
